Life Casting Babies, Adults and Familys
Life casting is the process of creating a detailed 3D mould directly from the body to capture exact shapes, lines, and textures. It creates a beautiful, realistic sculpture that preserves a moment in time.
Yes. We use professional, skin-safe, non-toxic moulding materials specifically designed for body casting. The materials are gentle and suitable for delicate skin, including babies.
Most sessions take between 30–90 minutes depending on the area being cast. The moulding process itself is usually quick (5–20 minutes), but preparation and finishing details require additional time.
We can safely cast newborns through toddlers and beyond. Many parents choose:
Newborn stage (under 3 weeks), 6 months, 1 year milestone However Casting can be complete at any age.
Small movements are normal. We work efficiently and may gently support your baby’s hand or foot to ensure a beautiful result.
Loose fitting clothing that gives easy access to both hands / Hands and feet.
Individual hand casts, Couples Overlapping Hands, Couple Hand Clasps, Family hands, Wedding hands, Anniversary pieces
Not at all. The moulding material feels cool and slightly firm as it sets, but it is not painful.
Pregnancy Bumps
The ideal time is between 32–36 weeks, when the bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable enough to stand or sit for the session.
The moulding process takes about 30-60 minutes. Including preparation and positioning, expect about 60–90 minutes total.
Options include:
Natural white sculpture, Bump Bowl for baby photography, Mounted wall art, Freestanding display
Finished artwork is typically ready within 8-10 weeks, depending on the complexity and finishing style selected.
Fingerprint Jewellery
After purchasing any items from our fingerprint ranges (that do not require an appointment), you will receive a confirmation e-mail with step-by-step instructions on how to take fingerprints at home. After you have fingerprints you are happy with, you can then up-load them via the QR code on the instruction sheet. Please ensure you provide your name and order number on the email with your prints.
Children’s fingerprints generally do not develop until they are nearer to 2 years of age. We recommend fingerprint jewellery for all adults and children over 2 years. For younger children we would recommend our hand and foot print collection.
Hand and Foot print and paw print jewellery
When you place your order, simply select “Purchase a Printing Kit” and we’ll take care of the rest.
Your kit will be lovingly prepared and dispatched within two working days via 1st Class Royal Mail. This allows you to begin creating your keepsake as soon as possible.
If you already have prints of your loved one, we will try our best to use them for your chosen piece. Ideally, we need the prints on light paper with dark (preferably black) ink.
We do however understand that due to some circumstances this may not be possible. In these cases, we ask you to up-load the prints via the QR Code on your confirmation e-mail and we will contact you if we have any concerns.
We know little one’s wriggle and pets rarely sit still — so our kits are designed with exactly that in mind.
There’s no ink, no mess, and no stress. The process is quick, clean, and simple, even with newborn babies or lively toddlers. Many parents are surprised by just how easy it is — and how special the moment feels when capturing that tiny hand or paw forever.
You’ll receive one kit per person in your order. Each kit includes enough space to fill an A4 sheet with prints, giving you plenty of chances to get the perfect one.
If you’d like additional kits for extra attempts or multiple children or pets, you can always purchase more.
Of course you can, although we strongly advise you to wait for our fingerprint instructions which will be on your confirmation email after you place your order. Our instructions will help you in capturing the best fingerprint possible for your truly unique keepsake.
We want this process to feel calm and unhurried for you.
Your prints are treasured because they are perfectly imperfect.
Although we do not directly alter the actual fingerprint, we select a section which is enlarged and made as clear as possible to make the stamp to create your bespoke piece of jewellery.
However, we will carefully remove any background marks or smudges around the print itself to ensure the finished piece looks beautifully refined.
No - we can work with prints of any size
No tiny newborn hand or oversized paw is ever too big or too small. Every print is carefully miniaturised while preserving all of its beautiful, unique details — from delicate fingertip swirls to the sweet outline of a paw pad. It’s those tiny details that make your piece truly one of a kind.
When you place your order, we reserve a design space just for you. To keep your piece moving smoothly through our workshop, we kindly ask that prints are sent within:
14 days (UK orders)
If life gets busy, please don’t worry. You’ll have up to 12 weeks to send them, though this may extend your delivery time to around 6 weeks from when we receive your prints.
For the clearest and most detailed result, we ideally need an ink print taken on paper using our detailed instructions (you will receive these along with your confirmation email).
Every swirl, ridge and line is carefully preserved, creating for you a piece of jewellery that is truly one of a kind. The most precious memory to treasure.
Yes — completely.
We’ve trusted and used these kits for over 17 years without any issues.
They are designed to be gentle on delicate newborn skin. While all skin-contact products must carry standard safety warnings, we would never offer anything we wouldn’t feel confident using on our own children or pets. Your family’s safety is always our priority.

Your new piece will carry its own special beauty and individuality — just as meaningful as the first.
